A lost dragonfly once landed on my palm, I held my breath so I could watch for longer how its wings sparkle and its crystal tummy moves. Could I catch it and hold it captive? We are actually so much alike – colourful, bright, untameable and constantly changing. She – up in the air, but me – on the ground. How I wish I could capture this endless beauty and share it with others, so they could also see and feel the same as I do!
Do you know what joy looks like? It has many faces and it is colourful. Sometimes its transparent, sometimes it’s hiding in the grass, puddles or sun bunnies. Sometimes it comes unexpected. It turns out it is baked in strawberry cakes or frozen in a wild berry ice cream. Joy can also be worn whenever and wherever you wish. It can be handed over or kept for later so that those who come after me, can also receive all the beauty in the world!

My mother’s closet. On the hanger sits a yellow, slightly transparent dress with a sun cut. Hanging over it a wool coat in cocoa colour, with a cross print and a fur collar. Some high-heel shoes. Lace that my grandmother left. In the childhood I learned the finest handicrafts, and they are now my inherited knowledge and skills. All this eighteen years ago inspired me to seek education in design. It made me interested in fashion, interior design, colours, shapes and forms. Genuineness. In people and in their stories. In photographs and emotions.
